2.25.2026
At a recent Huntington Water Quality Board meeting, three retiring Huntington Sanitary Board employees were honored for their extraordinary combined 79 years of service to the community. Roy Keller, Warren Loudermilk, and Tammie Ward were recognized for their dedication, professionalism, and long standing commitment to maintaining and improving critical infrastructure in Huntington.
During the same meeting, Jim Rorrer, Chair of the Southside Preservation and Enhancement Alliance, Inc., was recognized for his volunteer service on the board and for his leadership in advancing significant infrastructure initiatives over the past several years.
Public infrastructure projects often require years of planning, coordination, and persistence. From flood mitigation efforts to long-deferred maintenance and system improvements, the progress our community has experienced reflects the dedication of experienced staff, engaged board members, and collaborative leadership.
As a neighborhood organization, The Alliance values strong partnerships with public boards and agencies whose work directly impacts safety, property stability, environmental quality, and long-term community vitality. Infrastructure investment plays a critical role in protecting neighborhoods like the Southside and supporting Huntington’s broader growth and resilience.
We extend our sincere thanks to Roy Keller, Warren Loudermilk, and Tammie Ward for their decades of service, and we commend all those who continue to work behind the scenes to strengthen our city’s infrastructure for the future.
