The Southside Alliance

Be a voice for the Southside.

The Ambassador Program gives people who care about Huntington's Southside another way to connect neighbors, share our work, and help strengthen the community we love.

About the Program

Community starts with connection.

The Southside Alliance Ambassador Program is an opportunity for people who believe in the Southside to help strengthen connections between The Alliance and the community.

Ambassadors can help neighbors learn more about The Alliance, encourage community involvement, share information about projects and initiatives, and help us create an even stronger network of people who care about the future of the Southside.

You do not need to be an expert in neighborhood issues to make a difference. Being willing to listen, connect, communicate, and support the community is a meaningful place to begin.

The Ambassador Role

Help connect people with the work happening around them.

Ambassadors can support The Alliance in several simple but meaningful ways.

01

Connect

Help neighbors and community members become more familiar with The Southside Alliance and the opportunities available to become involved.

02

Share

Help spread the word about Alliance projects, events, neighborhood initiatives, membership opportunities, and other important community information.

03

Listen

Help create connections by listening to neighbors, identifying questions or concerns, and helping direct people to the right Alliance resource or contact.

04

Encourage

Encourage residents, businesses, Friends of the Southside, and supporters to participate in neighborhood activities and take an active role in the future of the Southside.

Pride of Place

Sometimes the most important thing you can do is help someone feel connected.

Strong neighborhoods are built through relationships. Ambassadors help strengthen those relationships by making The Alliance more accessible, visible, and connected to the people it serves.

Who Should Get Involved?

People who care make great ambassadors.

You do not have to live in the Southside to care about its future. Residents, Friends of the Southside, business owners, former residents, and other supporters can all help strengthen connections throughout the community.

You care about the Southside.

You value the neighborhood and want to see it continue to thrive.

You enjoy connecting with people.

You are comfortable having conversations, sharing information, and helping people find answers.

You want to stay informed.

You are interested in learning more about projects, programs, events, and issues affecting the neighborhood.

You believe involvement matters.

You want to help build stronger participation and encourage others to become part of the community.
